Coach Nic Cardoso was born and raised in Brazil. He moved to Pensacola in 1996 to play soccer professionally on the former Barracudas FC and work at the Brazilian Soccer Institute (BRUSA).

Coach Nic graduated as a Physical Educator for the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and earned his master's degree in Exercise Science from the University of West Florida. 

He worked as an Elementary Physical Education Teacher at Escambia County School District for 18 years. As an elementary educator and coach he believes that the cooperation, resilience, and leadership skills students acquire through physical activities are paramount for their personal development and overall well being.

He holds his Brazilian coaching license and has over 25 years experience as a teacher and coaching club and high school level.
